While my Mom and Dad were here this weekend we had a Church activity. It was a Harvest Fest. It was lots of fun. There was apple bobbing, a cupcake walk, bean bag toss, fishing for prizes, doughnut eating on strings, food, and dessert. The girls had so much fun. Alexis loved the apple bobbing. It took her about 10-15 mintues to get her apple but she wouldn't stop until she got one. She ended up with a soaked face and hair. Audrey wanted to try but couldn't sink her teeth in the apple enough to pick it up. I helped her out with that one.
I am so proud of myself for getting a picture of my parents. They don't like getting their picture taken, especially my mom, but I forced them to! I have started a Family picture wall in the house and I have Ben's parents picture and all the kids on his side of the family. Now I have this picture and hopefully I can get a family picture from all of my and Ben's siblings to hang. Then I can switch out the pictures every year and keep updated pictures up.

Audrey reading with Grandpa. Grandpa was the designated scripture and story reader at bedtime. This is a precious routine for Audrey and she loved having Grandpa read to her. Last night I reminded Audrey to say her prayers and she said, "Mom, you're making me responsible and angry!" I couldn't help laughing out loud.Meanwhile, we have been getting a new roof. It has been finished tonight and it looks great. It's taken two full days and two half days. I am glad there will no longer be any pounding because I have had a headache for the last four days! It doesn't want to go away which is really cramping my style! But we have a brand new roof and it's gorgeous!

awesome - hopefully the headache goes away now that the roofmen have gone away. and, by the way, you look like your dad...a lot. i think i regret missing Harvest Fest. it looked fun.
I can't believe how much Audrey looks like Alexis. Sounds like you had a great weekend, I am glad your parents are able to visit you.
That picture of Mom and Dad makes me doubly anxious to see them. I can't wait till they come here! Thanks for posting it. I'll make sure I snap one as well.
Audrey looks so grown up in the pictures of her fishing. She looks great with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. And I am hoping to get a family picture of the 4 of us in the next month or two. I want one for our wall, so I will send you a copy when I get that done! I hate the one of us taken last Christmas.
