Today was one of those days where I feel that if I could do this everyday I could get everything accomplished! It started out with a park outing. We had playgroup at a park today. Our first outdoor park excursion for playgroup since Winter struck. So of course this was a monumental day. It was really, really windy which made it a little chilly but the sun was shining and it was above 50 degrees out so nothing was stopping us! It was fun to carpool with Amy and her kids and then see friends at the park. We adults even showed off our athletic side (and amazing our kids) by swinging up and squeezing inbetween the monkey bars to sit on top of the monkey bars. Amy started it and then Katie's daughter looked at her mom and said, "Get up there mommy!" Then I ventured up there and Holly joined me and then upped the competition by hanging upside down. So fun and funny.
We got home from the park around lunchtime and after an appropriate amount of eating and relaxing time I dusted, cleaned the bathrooms, swept all the floors, and mopped all the floors. Then we headed for the grocery store (or cookie store as Audrey calls it because we always get the free cookie), deposited our tax refund check (always makes me so giddy. I am sure the bank teller thought I was a freak with such a big smile on my face!), and picked up Alexis.
We got back home and I directed the post school activities: snack for Alexis, keep Audrey from bugging Alexis, homework time, really keep Audrey away from Alexis, and then piano time, still keeping Audrey away from Alexis. After these are accomplished I immediately kick both children out of the house while I start dinner. This is a very mixed time for me because on the one hand the girls will play outside for an hour until dinner is ready. On the other hand, I am cooking which means clean up as well. Hmm. That's a debate for another time. :)
After dinner I took Alexis to Achievement Night at the church and while she was in her class I went on a run! Outside! It was a gorgeous night and I got a solid 30 minutes in (we were a little late to her class). We get back home and Alexis has a shower and gets ready for bed. Meanwhile, I remember that I have to bake some cookies for Audrey's preschool class tomorrow. So I make some sugar cookies and then clean up the whole kitchen (even sweeping again. But that's really because we are seeing some ants so now I have to be extra careful.)
Now Alexis and Audrey have been asleep for awhile, I've had a shower, and I am getting ready to read and fall asleep. So that was my day. If only I had all this energy and drive everyday I coulde get so many things accomplished! :) Oh well, I'll take these days when I can get them.

Love It! I love days like that. And I always wish they happened more. I had one a few weeks back that I was going to post about and never got around to it....:-)
