At the very end of July (the 31st I think) Lori, Lily, and Abby came to our house so we could all carpool together to Aunt Carmella's house in PA. This is our fourth year of going to Aunt Carmella's. Lori and I have carpooled every year together except for the second year (she was really pregnant and wasn't about to travel that far in the car with all our kids!). This year she came down two days early so we could have a day to get the car ready and let her kids have a break in between driving days. We went headed down to a wading pool that is just down my street. I love this picture. I caught Lori in the act! She is still a kid at heart! Ah! Okay, Lily wouldn't ride the scooter so she swapped jobs with her. :)
Here is Abby playing in the fountain that you're supposed to use to wash any sand off your feet before getting into the wading pool.
Alexis, Lily, and Audrey had fun in the water. They played really well together and were, obviously, the loudest ones there.
So that was our fun time the day before our big trip to PA. Lori and I spent the day cleaning her car, packing it, etc. It's always nice to have extra time with Lori! And, a big bonus this year was driving to PA in Lori's brand new (one year old) Kia Sedona. So fun to ride and drive a new car! Mine felt like a rickety boat after that! Hers has all the remote controlled doors. That is awesome. After we got back from our PA trip and I started driving my van again I kept pulling up on the door handle and letting go and nothing happened! :)

Pool still looks great! Wish we had one here.
