Christmas 2009--late

Yeah, yeah, I know. These are late. Really late. Four months late. Deal with it.

A lot of sledding happened. I didn't actually go myself but I did witness it--once. Ben took any and all kids who wanted to go every day and they stayed for hours in the freezing cold! I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to that. I like it to be a normal temperature if I'm going to stay outside for hours.

Grandpa gave the girls the game Sorry so naturally he wanted to play it with them. I think he even won.

Snuggling on the couch with Uncle Andrew while watching a movie.

Ben and Andrew built the best forts and had a great snowball fight.

We also got Twister for Christmas. I learned that I am not very flexible.

Audrey got an MP3 player already loaded up with her favorite music. She absolutely loved this (and still does). She loves to fall asleep listening to her music but I often find her awake an hour later still singing. Now I have to pick slower music for her to fall asleep to. She likes Josh Groban, Laura Pausini, Taylor Swift, all the HSM's, the Beattles, Carrie Underwood, Billy Joel, Colbie Caillet, TLCB (of course!), Michael Jackson, Michael Buble, and Michelle Branch. I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of for now. Audrey loves music and memorizes lyrics quickly.

Alexis really wanted this My Little Pony doll (I know, it's for little kids!). I kept hoping she would stop talking about it but she didn't. She kept it on her list for six months. Every time I went shopping she would say, "I just know My Little Pony doll is in there!" What else could I do? I couldn't disappoint her! And now it hardly gets played with. Sigh.

Grandpa reads The Polar Express to the kids on Christmas Eve every year. They all really like it despite some of the looks on their faces.

It was a great Christmas as usual. Look, I can even say that four months later. It must have been amazing.

Alexis looks just like you in that picture of the Sorry game! Sounds like a fun time. I really need to get my blog updated with Paul's football stuff.
