Audrey Time

While Alexis was in horse camp all day last week I had to find some activities for Audrey and I to do. We got invited to go to the Fort Wayne Botanical Gardens on Tuesday. They were having all sorts of special things going on because it is Three Rivers Festival time here. The first thing we did was have a caricature of Audrey done. I think it is adorable. But she turned it around and wouldn't let anyone look at it.



Next we got to get a balloon animal. Audrey chose a Monkey with a banana. She loved it and thought it was great. Then I popped it on accident and we had to wait another 20-25 minutes in line to get another one. DOH!


On Thursday we were invited to go to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo with some new friends. It was really nice! I have to say it is a really great zoo. It is in the top 10 in the US for Children's Zoo's. We didn't even see everything. We're going back tomorrow with Alexis. But here is what I saw for the first time in my life:

Baby Peacocks! I have never seen them before. They are really cute! They weren't all that shy either. It was a fun outing even if it was really hot out.
