Instead, I spent the night looking at this:

On the way to Madison I got what I thought was motion sickness. However, what I really had was a 12 hour flu bug. I can't believe it hit me at that time. I missed out on the best gig ever! I missed out on conversations about wearing white socks with black shoes, how Lucas writes new songs, hearing a brand new song without a name, watching the crazy lady sing, dance, and take pictures, and enjoy our own personal farewell! That is a huge!!! I missed it all! To top it off I made the girls all leave early, had to stop half way home to puke at a gas station, puked in a cup 20 seconds from my house, and was miserable the whole way home. The only thing that made it bearable was listening the girls' conversation on the way back.
So my exciting night is not over yet! I walk in the door and down the hall. I'm about to fall into bed when Alexis opens her door, crying, and says, "My stomach really hurts!" To which I hastily reply, "GRAB A BOWL!" She and I spend the entire night taking turns throwing up, rinsing our bowls, trying to have conversation, and being altogether miserable and uncomfortable. At about 7:30am we both feel better and fall asleep. CRAZY! Then it was over. All it took for Alexis to feel better was one day of crackers and Popsicles and then 14 hours of sleep. I feel like I am still recovering! No fair! Ben got it Sunday night and he's still recovering.
Who's ready for the real Spring? ME ME ME!!! No more sickness!

I'm so sad you were sick. The next gig will be the best ever--whenever that is.
Emily,
You didn't "make" us leave early. We practically had to "make" you leave. No one wanted you to have to stay there and be miserable...though the car ride wasn't much fun for you either. Glad you're better!
That's not our toilet. It's way too nice.
Oh, boy. I remember that fun. Soory you missed the fun part of the trip, but you are the biggest memory of the trip. Bet that doesn't help alot.
hey, where are the bathroom pics at Cloud 9 that Cynthia took?
when we get together at our kids' marriages...this will be the story to tell, right? with TLCB playing at the reception? :)
rofl at those pictures, those are great! I hope you're feeling loads better and have something better to look at!
Emily, I haven't looked at your blog in a while and I am so shocked about the whole art museum fiasco. Shocked. And warned. Yikes!
See you in a month or so. Thanks for all your info and advice!
