Behold my many gifts for Mother's Day. Alexis made me a card at school that had six coupons in it. They were for making my bed, making me breakfast, cleaning her room, cleaning the house, giving me hugs, and giving me kisses. So cute. She really put a lot of detail into her card. See if you can spot the three pictures of her card (the front, inside, and back covers). Audrey made me a card at preschool. It is the bottom two pictures. The inside of her card was so funny. She said I was 16 years old (last year I was 30 so I am digging her aging process), am prettiest when I wear a skirt, shirt, and necklace, that I like to make spaghetti noodles and spaghetti squash (I made spaghetti noodles out of spaghetti squash not too long ago and I think that is what she is referring to), that I always say, "No banging on the wall!", and that I am funny when I dance silly. We had a Mother's Day Tea at her preschool last Thursday. We made a pin and I got some carnations.
Ben and the girls got me three hanging baskets for the front of the house. They look so pretty. Audrey picked out red ones (she knows this is my favorite color), Alexis picked out pink ones (this is her favorite color), and Ben picked out white ones. I also got some window boxes but I have to stain and waterproof them before I put them on the house and put flowers in them. So fun!
Thank you to my wonderful family for all the lovely gifts and for thinking of me today. I got to take a really long nap today and that is always a great gift! I love taking naps on Sunday. :)
Thank you to my mom who is a great mom. She has taught me so much. She is a smart, sensitive, and spiritual woman. She is a constant reminder to me that anyone can have the Spirit in their life if they truly seek it. She raised me with patience especially through my very trying high school sophmore and junior years. Those two years I was struggling to find my testimony and I must tried her patience and made her worry so much. I never once felt that I was a burden or bother to her though. I always felt loved and cared for. So thank you mom for all that you have done and continue to do.
I wouldn't be very grateful if I didn't say thanks for being such a great example as a mom to my sister or sister-in-laws. They listen to my ranting, ravings, complaints, and offer me support and advice. You truly are my examples at mothering and I love you all!

The flowers are lovely -- I think our winter is too long -- I can't imagine yours! Anything below 60 is cold to me -- I'm such a wimp.
