Saturday was a busy day for us. We did a lot of yard work (and by "we" I mean mostly Ben), swept out the garage, went to the store (twice for me but without kids!), and cleaned inside the house and Ben put lots of pictures up. It was a most productive day. I love those days! Ben found a frog in the backyard and the girls promptly made it a home in Audrey's tricycle. They even got a book about frogs from Alexis' bookshelf and read up on what to feed it, etc. Too cute. This provided hours of entertainment and at the end of that time the girls set "Toady" (so he was named) free. He is probably thanking his lucky stars!
I'm sorry but you're going to have to endure lots of pictures of flowers this Spring and Summer. I don't know if it was just too long of a winter or what but Ben and I think our yard (our front yard especially) looks especially good this year. I love the delicate lines and folds of tulips. Ah, it relaxes me just looking at it.
One of our smaller trees in front of the house has bloomed. These are so pretty and delicate. I like how they start out white and then the pink slowly opens and adds to the flowers.
Last Friday Audrey and I went to a couple of garage sales and ended up at Klode Park. It was a fun little park that is right by the lake. So we ventured down to the water and had a lovely time throwing rocks into the lake. Audrey was thrilled that she got to go to the "beach." It's kind of sad that this is the beach she will know for awhile. It just can't compare to CA or HI. Especially HI. Even the CA beaches were sad and lacking to me because I had four years of HI beaches. I know, I am so spoiled.
Here is poor "Toady" stuck in his new pink tricycle home. I am just happy Audrey didn't squeeze him to death while picking him up repeatedly and squealing in delight or shock when he tried to jump out of her hands.
