Garage Sale Days

I love these flowers on our neighbor's tree. I was just messing around with the effects on each picture. Fun fun.
I said to Audrey, "I'm going to take your picture now" and this was the face she made. After I took the picture she burst out laughing. She is so silly.

A side story involving Audrey. I believe she is already working out her 14 year old phrases. We went to Target on Wednesday to get graham crackers for her preschools snack. She was the special helper on Thursday and gets to bring the snack and set it up and be first in lines, etc. Well, Target did not have graham crackers so we bought fishies and wheat thins instead. When we got back in the car Audrey says to me with annoyance in her voice, "We didn't get crackers!" I said, "Well, the store didn't have graham crackers so we got fishies and wheat thins instead, remember?" Audrey says, "I know, duh!" I'm thinking, okay do I ignore that or respond? Then she mumbles, really it was totally a mumble, "It doesn't exist!" The whole exchange was something that a teenager would say to their parent! The attitude, mumbling, and the "Duh!" Boy am I in for it or what?
Brady came over for most of the day to play with Audrey while Amy and I had our first day of the garage sale. They spent a large portion of the day in our tree. Brady is like a monkey. He climbs up everyone and jumps out of the tree when he's done. Audrey was amazed. She has to be lifted into the tree and then justs sits in the crook of the tree until she is done. Then I lift her down. Needless to say, it's not my favorite past time of hers since it requires I stay in very close proximity but oh well.
Our garage sale. Please take my junk! I don't want it in my basement anymore!
A pretty pink tulip in my front yard. I just love these flowers! The weather was wonderful today. Sunny and warm (mostly). And it didn't rain! Ha! The weather forecasters have been terrible lately. They keep predicting rain and it doesn't come. After spending 6 1/2 hours outside today, doing mostly nothing I must admit, I was exhausted! How can that be? I did stain/waterproof my window boxes though. So I got something accomplished. I only sold $20 worth of stuff though. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Whatever doesn't get sold I am taking to the Goodwill after the sale. And at least Amy was here with me most of the day. I am soo glad we could chit chat and keep each other company. You're the greatest!

Alexis is having a sleep over tonight. I don't think any of the girls (Audrey included because she gets very distracted if there is anything going on at night) are going to sleep tonight. Sigh. I love my kids. I love my kids. I love my kids. :)

You are in for a treat with the teenage years - I am sure we all are! My mom jokes that she kept having children until she had a teenager (it is true so it is only a half joke). I sometimes think with the mouth on my girls I should stop now, since I know it will get much worse before there is any hope of it getting better.
