Apple Farm

Audrey and I got to go to an apple farm a little while back for her first class field trip. It was fun. Audrey loved riding the bus, of course. The first week of school she came out of class and told me, "I want to ride the bus!" She said that every day for the first week. She must have come to terms with reality because she only rarely says it now. :)

The kids got to learn all about bees. Why the are important, where they live, how the beekeepers get the honey out, etc. Then they watched a seriously lame video about Johnny Appleseed. I guarantee you that not one of those kids cared a lick or payed any attention to it. I almost wanted to throw a tantrum!

After the lame movie we got to pick two apples and one pear. We really had to dig for the pear!
