Day 11--Thursday

Thursday we decided to NOT go into the park. We were all pretty tired and ready for day without being in the car for most of it. Mom, Dad, James, and Paul went into the park in the morning to see a few more things since James couldn't get to the house until Tuesday night. He had had only one day in the park so Mom and Dad wanted to get him in to see a little bit more.

The rest of us slept in and took our time getting ready. After lunch we headed into the town of West Yellowstone to do some shopping. The kids were going to pick out a souvenir and have some ice cream. We came across this little ice-cream place that gives kids a free cone! How great is that? The kids enjoyed it very much.

While the kids were waiting for others to finish a little shopping they entertained themselves nicely. Bekah and Audrey made a house picture out of rocks. I tried to get Audrey to look up but she declared, "I'm too busy to look up."

Here is a shot with my dad, two of his brothers, and my two brothers (and some other couple we don't know). :)

Audrey took this picture. Funny.

After we got back from shopping we relaxed a little bit. Some of the kids went in the hot tub, some watched tv, etc. After dinner we went back over the other big house and visited some more with the Dyer Clan. That was fun but didn't last nearly long enough.

We had so much fun on this trip. The day we got up at 5am was a pretty funny one. Audrey decided that buffalo bums and elk bums were the funniest things to talk about so my parents and I heard about it all day long. I guess that is what I get for getting her up so early. :) Also, the day we went to Old Faithful it was really crowded. We got stuck in a traffic jam and it took us an hour and a half to go 16 miles. When we pulled into the parking lot Audrey yelled, "I hate this place!" Yep. That's my sassy, speaks her mind, four and a half year old Audrey.
